The Sydney season of the world's favourite musical, The Sound of Music, is in its final weeks at the Capitol Theatre and must end on February 28. Students with valid ID are invited to see the lavish London Palladium production for just $49.90. Student rush tickets are available from two hours prior to show time, on all price types.

On behalf of his co-producers Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian and The Really Useful Group, producer John Frost said, "Sydney has taken The Sound of Music to its heart, with thunderous applause and standing ovations at every performance. The Australian cast have been receiving rave reviews with Amy Lehpamer taking home the 2015 Sydney Theatre Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical for her performance as Maria Rainer. Cameron Daddo is wowing audiences as Captain Georg von Trapp, starring alongside Marina Prior as Baroness Schraeder, Jacqueline Dark as Mother Abbess, Lorraine Bayly as Frau Schmidt and David James as Max Detweiler.

This acclaimed production premiered in 2006 at the home of West End musical theatre, the London Palladium, where it celebrated a record-breaking 954 performances seen by well over 2 million people, before going on to enjoy sell-out seasons internationally.

Less than two weeks to see this iconic show with an unforgettable score that includes some of the most famous songs ever performed on stage, including My Favourite Things, Edelweiss, Do-Re-Mi, Sixteen Going On Seventeen, The Lonely Goatherd, Climb Ev'ry Mountain and the title song, The Sound of Music.
