Peter Murphy to Join THRILLER LIVE Australian National Tour

THRILLER LIVE, the spectacular concert production that celebrates the music of the world's greatest entertainer, Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five commenced its Australia tour in December last year. Audiences and the media have acclaimed the show.

The Producers of THRILLER LIVE today announced that Australian Peter Murphy, who has played in the show in the UK, will join the cast on their national tour.

Peter has been performing in Musical Theatre throughout Australia and the world for the past 20 years. Highlights include the Australian productions of Les Miserables, Rent and Shout!, as well as starring as Nick Piazza in Fame, Johnny in Shout!, Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar (Scandinavian Tour), Featured Vocalist in Thriller - Live (UK & European Tour), and Featured Vocalist in Burn the Floor (Atlantic City). Most recently he starred as Galileo in We Will Rock You on London's West End, performing with Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen and reprising the role he performed for two seasons in Japan.

Peter joins two other Australians who have received rave reviews for their performances on this tour.

THRILLER LIVE comprises a company of 45 international and Australian performers, musicians and crew. The show is over two hours of non-stop hits from pop to rock, soul to disco in a show that pays homage to Michael Jackson's legendary live performances and the magic of his 45-year musical history. THRILLER LIVE features stunning choreography and Michael's innovative dance moves executed with flair, precision and passion in a show that fans will never forget.

THRILLER LIVE contains all of Jackson's favourite songs including: I Want You Back, ABC, Can You Feel It, Off The Wall, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, Bad, Rock With You, They Don't care About Us, Dangerous, Heal The World, and Thriller plus many more!

The Australian tour of THRILLER LIVE is produced by the Ambassador Theatre Group, The Flying Music Company, BB Promotion and Lunchbox Theatricals in association with Adelaide Festival Centre and Arts Centre Melbourne.
