Due to popular demand, MTC's season of Macbeth has been extended and will now run until 18 July.

Starring Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad) and Geraldine Hakewill (Wanted) as the infamous power couple, Macbeth has taken audiences by storm, with many performances already sold out and tickets in high demand for the remaining season.

Director Simon Phillips' action-packed production completes a trilogy of unforgettable Shakespeares for MTC, following his highly acclaimed productions of Richard III and Hamlet.

MTC Artistic Director Brett Sheehy said, 'Simon Phillips and the team behind this exceptional production have brought Macbeth to life with a lighting bolt of energy and contemporary relevance. It's fast-paced, invigorating and audiences can't get enough of it. We're delighted to be able to extend the season to meet the demand.'

Completing the powerhouse cast in this new production is Rodney Afif (Hotel Mumbai), Shareena Clanton (Wentworth) Kamil Ellis (Nowhere Boys), Tom Hobbs (Winners & Losers), Kevin Hofbauer (Offspring), Khisraw Jones-Shukoor (A Little Resistance), Robert Menzies (The Weir), Jane Montgomery Griffiths (Wit), Dan Spielman (The Code), Dylan Watson (Jumpy) and Lachlan Woods (Double Indemnity).
