A new cabaret showcases Donald O'Connor's life on the silver screen, starring alongside icons such as Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds & Ethel Mermen.

A Hollywood inspired cabaret, filled with show stopping songs from the golden age of film, tells an unknown history of under-recognised, Golden Globe winning actor: Donald O'Connor. Playing a 5 night season at The Butterfly Club it is loosely based around his life story, this cabaret, featuring Mikey Halcrow & Jens Radda uses numbers from O'Connors films to tell his surprising life story.

Featuring elements of vaudeville and music theatre, this cabaret is filled with hits spanning 60 years of Hollywood and Broadway. With songs by Irving Berlin & George Gershwin and original arrangements by Radda and Halcrow, audiences will be tapping their feet along with the cast for the entire 50 minutes.

Both Halcrow and Radda are recent graduates from WAAPA's Music Theatre degree and have each had successful seasons at Perth Fringeworld. Halcrow's respect for Donald O'Connor and his career, lead him to do extensive research on the under-appreciated star and create the cabaret in his memory.

This production opens on August 23 and plays until August 27th at 7pm, upstairs at the Butterfly Club. Starring Mikey Halcrow and Jens Radda and Directed by Nick Eynaud. Bookings recommended.
