An audacious fusion of elegant fetish, out there sexual slapstick and gender politics, In Flagrante was described at their surprise hit Edinburgh Fringe season by reviewer Frodo Allan as "a sexy, thought-provoking, sensual experience."

With Fringe Review's William Glenn describing the show as: " In Flagrante. In flames. Red handed. Sexy, sophisticated, knives-out choreography complemented by killer designs." The show is the creation of Auckland based contemporary dance choreographer MaryJane O'Reilly who takes the burlesque genre in hugely original and slickly provocative directions.

Set around Klaus Waldeck's smoky trip hop covers album Ballroom Stories and Nick Cave's Waters Edge - In Flagrante is a series of sharply rendered pop vignettes from a North Korean traffic girl to bridled equestrians and supplicant nurses seeking redemption.

In Flagrante's companion video from the show 'Horse's Burlesque' has had over 2 million views and has been featured on the Colbert Report in the US, MTV and at Munich's BDSM/Fetish Film Festival.
