Anthony Warlow, Australia's leading star of musical theatre, returns home this June with Tony-Award winner Faith Prince in an exclusive concert event titled Direct From Broadway. The Australian tour premieres at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival on June 10, then travels to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

For the first time in almost a decade, Australian audiences can experience the majesty that only "Australia's first man of music theatre" can bring to the stage. Warlow will be accompanied by Faith Prince, his Broadway co-star from the critically acclaimed US production of Annie and a magnificent 30 piece orchestra under the musical direction of Alex Rybeck and the direction of Dan Foster.

"I had a glorious time performing on Broadway and it is wonderful to be home and bring some of the Broadway magic back to Australia," said Anthony Warlow. "Faith Prince was a wonderful co-star in Annie, and I can't wait to join her on stage and sing all our Broadway favourites."

Blessed with a thrilling voice, Anthony Warlow's versatility has enthralled Australian audiences ever since his 1981 debut with the Australian Opera at the age of 19 in Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Recently making his Broadway debut as Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks in Annie, his lengthy stage credits include creating the role of Dr Yurii Zhivago in the Australian premiere production of Doctor Zhivago: The Musical (2011), the Australian tour of Annie (2000 and 2012), performing the title role of The Phantom of the Opera (1990 and 2007-2008), creating the role of Enjolras in the Australian production of Les Miserables (1988), and his musical theatre debut in 1985, playing the role of Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls at the National Theatre in London.

Faith Prince established herself as a Broadway star with her portrayal of Miss Adelaide in the 1992 revival of Guys and Dolls, a role for which she won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. Since then, she has also been nominated for Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her portrayal of Ella Peterson in the 2001 revival of Bells Are Ringing, and her feature in the 2008 Broadway musical A Catered Affair. Faith is very well known for her numerous film and television appearances including Spin City, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, CSI, Faith, House, Medium, Monk and Law and Order.

This unique concert will feature music from some of musical theatre's greatest productions, including My Fair Lady, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Sweeney Todd, Guys and Dolls and Man of La Mancha.

Warlow's "exquisite falsetto" voice will seamlessly combine with the compelling tones of Prince's voice described by the New York Times as "one-in-a-million". Direct From Broadway will be a truly unforgettable evening of music, a once in a lifetime event with two of musical theatre's brightest international stars.

Blessed with a thrilling voice and a gift for mimicry, Anthony is able to inhabit an extraordinary diversity of roles from high opera to musical comedy, and his versatility has enthralled Australian audiences ever since his debut with the Australian Opera at the age of 19 in Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Being awarded the Joan Sutherland Scholarship enabled him to further his career in opera, with roles in The Magic Flute, La Bohème, Tosca, Otello, The Tales of Hoffman (with Dame Joan Sutherland), Romeo and Juliet, and Don Giovanni.

Anthony's music theatre career commenced in 1985 with the London National Theatre production of Guys & Dolls. He went on to create the role of Enjolras in the Australian production of Les Miserables, a performance which won him a place on the Grammy Award winning International Cast recording of the work. Other productions include The Secret Garden, Man Of La Mancha, My Fair Lady, Grease the Arena Spectacular and A Little Night Music, as well as a healthy catalogue of Gilbert & Sullivans comic operas.

Making the most coveted role in music theatre, The Phantom of the Opera (1990 and 2007-2009), his own, set the seal on Anthony's status as our premier stage performer. The accolades that ensued included the prestigious Advance Australia Award for Contribution to Music Theatre in 1991, gold and platinum sales of his solo albums and in 1998 Anthony was honoured by the nation and the National Trust being elected a Living National Treasure.

Anthony is no stranger to the concert platform sharing the stage with Australia's Symphony Orchestras, as well as the London Philharmonic Orchestra. 2011 saw his creation of Dr Yurii Zhivago in the Australian premiere production of the musical Doctor Zhivago, based on the Nobel Prize winning novel by Boris Pasternak, with a score by Lucy Simon (The Secret Garden). Anthony was thrilled to be asked to help celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera at London's Royal Albert Hall in October 2011.

In 2012 Anthony starred as Daddy Warbucks in a record-breaking Australian tour of Annie, reprising the role he played to great acclaim 12 years before. In November 2012 Anthony made his Broadway debut in the role of Daddy Warbucks in the new US production of Annie directed by James Lapine.

Faith Prince has been dazzling Broadway audiences since winning the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. As one of Broadway's best loved leading ladies, Faith most recently starred in a role she was born to play - the scheming, irascible Miss Hannigan in the revival of Annie. Other Broadway credits include A Catered Affair (Tony, DD, OCC noms), The Little Mermaid, Bells Are Ringing (Tony, DD, OCC noms), Nick & Nora (OCC Award), Jerome Robbins' Broadway (Tony, DD noms), Little Me, The Dead, Noises Off and, regionally, Terrence McNally's Unusual Acts of Devotion. She also starred in the national tour of Billy Elliott.

Faith currently recurs on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva and on ABC Family's Melissa & Joey, was a series regular on Showtime's Huff, and recurred for five seasons on Spin City. Other television credits are A Gifted Man, Happy Endings, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, CSI, Faith, House, Medium, Monk, Now and Again and Law and Order. Film credits include Our Very Own, Picture Perfect, Dave and My Father the Hero.

Faith works often with leading orchestras and tours her critically acclaimed one-woman show internationally. Her latest album, Total Faith, was recently released, and her album A Leap of Faith is available on DRG Records.
