ADULT FAIRY PARTY Returning to The Butterfly Club in November

How come kids always know what they wanna be when they 'grow up'? After a sell-out season in May, Natasha York is back with her one woman show "Adult Fairy Party".

It's time to see once again how a fairy party should go - without any kids around!

The success of a show called "Adult Fairy Party" was always going to be tough to measure. Was it the fact that last time this show played, every weekend The Butterfly Club was full of adults dressed head to toe in fairy attire, playing hokey pokey whilst holding a balloon in one hand and wine in the other? To York, this was all she ever wanted and, yes this success was achieved!

Through party games, her tales of life as a children's entertainer and magic (oooh!), Natasha York (These Things Take Wine, Impromptunes), takes the audience on an immersive cabaret experience - basically an adult themed fairy party where you can drink! As a brilliant songstress, York delivers music from party favourites like 'Incy Wincy Spider', 'Ring Around The Rosy' , a few familiar pop tunes and of course that one hit wonder 'Happy Birthday'.

As a part-time job during uni, York has spent the last 5 years being a professional fairy at children's birthday parties. So after completing 3 degrees in Business, Drama and Musical Theatre, she never thought she'd see herself here (neither did her mother)! "I wanted create a night where adults can get away from "real life" and to look at life more like a child. Last season I had people celebrating their birthday parties, school reunions and even a coming-out celebration at the show - it was just the best fun!," says York.

Sometimes being a grown up sucks, but Adult Fairy Party provides an excuse to get dressed up, have some fun and even be re-acquainted with your inner child. The show is playing every Sunday in November at the very responsible time of 7pm, downstairs at The Butterfly Club. There will also be a Halloween special on the 1st November - a Zombie Adult Fairy Party so get in quick as spots are limited. it's time to fly out of reality and into the Adult Fairy Party! PS.
