From Saturday Night Live, to the top of the music charts, and now Dell Hall: the Long Center is thrilled to announce that The Blues Brothers will headline this year’s Long Center gala, Purple Party 7, presented by AT&T.

Over the years, many have taken the stage behind their dark sunglasses, skinny ties, and black felt fedoras to pay homage to the legacy of Jake and Elwood, but only a select few belong amongst the official pantheon of The Blues Brothers – genuine, bona fide members of the family, carriers of the flame.

Dan Aykroyd is an Academy Award nominated and Emmy Award winning actor, comedian, musician, writer—and, most recently, business entrepreneur. He became a regular on Saturday Night Live in 1975 due to his political satire, powered by flawless impersonations of Presidents Nixon and Carter. Jim Belushi first came to national attention through his role in the Edward Zwick film About Last Night, with Rob Lowe and Demi Moore. In 1983, he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live for two years.
