CHARLEY'S AUNT Opens 3/20 at City Theater
(3/3/2015) - Different Stages continues its 2013 - 2014 season with Brandon Thomas's Charley's Aunt. Oxford students Jack and Charley can't court their sweethearts without a chaperone. Charley's aunt is on her way from Brazil and will fit the bill - until her arrival is delayed! What to do, what to do? By George, they hire an impersonator, or rather coerce their rascally schoolmate Fancourt to pose as Charley's aunt from Brazil, -"where the nuts come from." Complications begin when the schoolmate, in drag, becomes the love object of two older men.
Austin Playhouse to Present I'M NOT RAPPAPORT
(3/3/2015) - This Tony Award-winning play introduces audiences to the unforgettable characters Nat and Midge, two senior citizens who meet in Central Park to escape and combat the sometimes unpleasant realities of life. Together they fight injustice, spin fantasies, and form a friendship full of comic genius. Our production reunites acclaimed actors Tom Parker and Billy Harden as Nat and Midge--roles they've played for director Don Toner in 1989 and 1998 productions. As Toner says, "They're damn near old enough to play the parts now!"

BWW Reviews: PRIVATE LIVES as Bubbly and Giddy a Delight as Fine Champagne
(3/2/2015) - Noel Coward's plays are, for the most part, theatrical souffles: the ingredients are very simple and, when handled correctly, are deliciously light and tasty; however, in the hands of the inexperienced, they can turn out to be a mess best thrown away. I am happy to report that in the case of PRIVATE LIVES, now being staged by Agape Actors Co-op, the chefs know exactly what they are doing… this production is Coward done right and is a tasty treat for lovers of light, frothy, witty entertainment.
BWW Reviews: Sam Bass Offers Charming, Quirky Look at Family With TABLE SETTINGS
(2/26/2015) - There isn't much to say about the idea of the American Family that hasn't already been said, but as Table Settings proves, it's not what you say but how you say that matters. The joyous comedy, written by James Lapine and directed by Frank Benge, ops for episodes and sketches rather than a linear plot to give us a glimpse into the lives of a surnameless Jewish family, and each slice of life placed on the table is more delicious than the last.
