"Table Settings" by James Lapine opens tonight, February 13th at Sam Bass Community Theatre. Directed by Frank Benge.

"Table Settings" by James Lapine, librettist for "Into the Woods" and "Sunday in the Park with George", is a wildly funny comedy about three generations of a Jewish family whose lives come together and apart -- sometimes simultaneously -- at the groaning board of the title. Resembling a comic strip come to energetic life, the play gets its name from the fact that all the action takes place around a table... sometimes a restaurant table, sometimes a kitchen table and other times the dining table of the Jewish mother to end all Jewish mothers. "Table Settings" was a highly acclaimed and long running Off Broadway success and is a hysterical look at American family dysfunction.

Contains adult themes and language.
