Robert Faires' HENRY V to Run 9/5-14 at Long Center

England's most storied and inspirational warrior king is revealed in a stunning one-man adaptation of the Shakespeare's Henry V - starring Robert Faires. Performances run September 5th through September 14th at the Rollins Studio Theatre at the Long Center, 701 West Riverside Drive, Austin, 78704.

Austin audiences were first riveted by Faires' Henry V five years ago at The Off-Center, when it drew sold out crowds and garnered critical acclaim. Now, the solo show returns as a co-production of Austin Shakespeare and Red Then Productions, under the direction of Catherine Weidner.

"We are thrilled to bring this brilliant powerful re-imagining of Henry V to the intimate Rollins Theater. Robert can be a one moment the most charming and entertaining companion, and in the next moment powerfully awaken our imagination in a heroic battle," says Austin Shakespeare Artistic Director Ann Ciccolella.

Robert Faires' Henry V runs September 5th through September 14th, (excluding September 9th) with nine performances only. There is a low-cost preview September 4th. Performances take place at 8 pm Thursdays through Sundays, Monday and Wednesday and 3 pm on Sundays.

Tickets range from $16 to $38. For more information visit www.austinshakespeare.org. Tickets may be purchased at the Long Center Performing Arts Center online www.thelongcenter.org or by calling (512) 474-5664 (LONG).

"This is a vision of the great ones and of Henry's own mercurial adaptability. Henry is judge, leader, warrior, humanitarian, courtier, statesman, and -- in perhaps the most delicious scene of all -- lover. Robert Faires' Henry V project, twenty years in preparation, is an interpretation of depth, grace and a profound understanding of Shakespeare's language and text. It is not to be missed. Highly recommended." Austin Live Theatre
