Bass Concert Hall
Multiple Grammy winning Emblem/Atlantic recording artist Rob Thomas returns to Austin for a special headline run on April 15th at Bass Concert Hall. This show will offer the rare and unique opportunity to catch the superstar performing in a more up close and personal setting, playing a career-spanning set. Rob Thomas is one of the most distinctive vocalists and accomplished songwriters in contemporary music, garnering a string of accolades - both for his work as lead singer and primary composer with Matchbox Twenty as well as for his solo work and collaborations with other artists. In 2004, the Songwriters Hall of Fame presented Thomas with its first ever "Starlight Award" - created to recognize a songwriter in the early years of his or her career that has already made a lasting impact. He has won numerous BMI and ASCAP Awards, and has earned the Songwriter of the Year crown from both Billboard and BMI, two years in a row. Thomas is best known for his chart-topping hits such as "Lonely No More" and "This is How a Heart Breaks" and Matchbox Twenty hits like "Push," "3AM," "If You're Gone," and "Bent." Thomas also earned three Grammy Awards for "Smooth," his smash collaboration with Santana. Thomas wrote and sang the song, which currently ranks first on Billboard's "Top Hot 100 Rock Songs" chart and second on the magazine's "Hot 100 All-Time Top Songs." Thomas last solo album, Cradlesong, generated even more number one hits, including "Someday" and "Her Diamonds." Overall, Thomas has contributed to sales of more than 80 million records. Rob Thomas and his Matchbox Twenty band mates recently finished up their hugely successful sold-out world tour in support of their #1 selling album "NORTH." Fueled by critical acclaim - as well as the hit singles, "She's So Mean," "Overjoyed" and "Our Song"- the album's unprecedented success marked the band's first-ever chart-topper and #1 debut. Rob is currently at work on his third solo album.

Mozart Requiem Undead in Broadway MOZART REQUIEM UNDEAD
French Legation Museum
Less than one year before Mozart died, he received a commission for a death mass from a mysterious stranger who intended to pass it off as his own composition. Mozart died penniless before he completed his final composition. To pay for his funeral, his widow had one of his students complete the work as we know it today: Mozart's Requiem Mass. The exciting Mozart Requiem Undead project takes it back to square one. In this quirky and oversized collaboration between the Golden Hornet Project, Fusebox Festival, Texas Choral Consort, and Texas Performing Arts, the masterwork is stripped back to what Mozart himself had on paper - the choral parts and figured bass - and put in the hands of Austin's Graham Reynolds and Peter Stopschinski who head a pack of luminary alt-classical composers from Texas and beyond in re-imagining a new completion for this masterpiece, starting where Wolfgang Amadeus left off. Be amazed and delighted as the musicians and singers take Mozart into a new world!

Aziz Ansari in Broadway AZIZ ANSARI
Bass Concert Hall
Aziz Ansari is performing as part of the 2014 Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival. Aziz Ansari is one of the biggest stars in the comedy world. Rolling Stone put him on the cover of their special comedy issue labeling him "the funniest man under 30." He recently debuted his much anticipated third hour-long stand-up special Buried Alive on Netflix in November. The special was named one of the best standup specials of the year by The Onion AV Club and Paste Magazine. Ansari co-stars opposite Amy Poehler in the beloved Emmy-nominated NBC series Parks and Recreation, which is now in its sixth season. Ansari's portrayal of government employee 'Tom Haverford' has earned him critical praise including Entertainment Weekly naming him one of their "Breakout TV Stars," TV Guide naming him a "Scene Stealer" and People Magazine naming him 2011's "Funniest Dude in Prime Time." Additionally, Ansari has landed a book deal with The Penguin Press about modern dating and how the basic issues facing a single person-whom we meet, how we meet them, and what happens next-have been radically altered by new technologies. Ansari has also kept busy in the film world. His voice was featured in the Twentieth Century Fox animated hit film Epic, and he made a cameo in This Is The End opposite Seth Rogen and James Franco. He was previously seen starring in the action comedy 30 Minutes or Less opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride and Universal's Funny People. Additional film credits include Get Him to the Greek, I Love You, Man, Observe and Report, and Ice Age: Continental Drift. Ansari's stand up work has been unparalleled over the past few years. His second hour-long stand-up special "Dangerously Delicious" was self-released online through for $5. In 2010, he had an hour-long standup special on Comedy Central titled "Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening." The special and subsequent DVD/CD were both extremely successful and both albums continue to be a mainstay on iTunes' comedy best-seller list.
