The City Theatre
2/14-3/2/2014
TIED BY FAITH. BOUND BY FREEDOM. The Civil War has ended. Into the chaos of war-torn Richmond, comes a wounded Jewish Confederate officer who finds his home in ruins and abandoned, save for two former slaves, who have waited for the family's return. As the three men long for signs of life to return to the country, they wrestle with their shared past, the bitter irony of Jewish slave-owning and the reality of the new world in which they find themselves. The pain that each man endures is not soothed and deep-buried secrets from the past refuse to be hidden as the play comes to its shocking climax. Dell Hall
3/4-3/5/2014
Peace, Love and the '60s! Travel back to a time when youthful rebellion and optimism stood proud in the face of a war-torn establishment. Hair exploded on Broadway and defined the counter-culture movement of the era. One of the most influential musicals of all time, Hair still resonates with the divided America of the 21st Century. And the score still "rocks!" "Aquarius," "Let the Sunshine In," "Easy to Be Hard" …the songs and optimism of "Hair" triumph.

Sam Bass Community Theatre
2/14-3/8/2014
This very funny, yet very touching play focuses on the lives of four men who live in a communal residence under the watchful eye of a sincere, but increasingly despairing, social worker. Filled with humor, the play is also marked by the compassion and understanding with which it peers into the half-lit world of its handicapped protagonists.

Now Playing Onstage in Austin - Week of 2/23/2014 WICKED
Bass Concert Hall
2/19-3/9/2014
Back by "Popular" demand. Variety calls WICKED "a cultural phenomenon," and each time it plays Austin, it breaks box office records and sells out in record time. Winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, WICKED is "Broadway's biggest blockbuster" (The New York Times). Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkinland, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One - born with emerald green skin - is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for "the most complete - and completely satisfying - new musical in a long time" (USA Today).
