Last Act Theatre Company is currently accepting script and director submissions for their 2015 season. Should your proposal be chosen by the administrative board, Last Act will produce a full-length play of your original work and/or direction.

If you are interested in submitting, please know that you can send in a script proposal with no director in mind, a script and director proposal or a director proposal (in which you can specify that you are interested in directing regardless of the show or that your interest is contingent upon the shows that will run during the 2015 season). Directors should submit a resume and/or a CV.

For those interested in proposing a script, the options are original plays, novellas, poetry, etc. (no limitations or genre specifications), adaptations of classics (anything royalty-free), or existing plays with fundraising plans to cover the associated royalties.

The submission deadline is TODAY, April 16, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. CST.

Last Act will make their decisions for the season by the end of May or the beginning of June. Directors may be chosen at that time. If necessary, they will send scripts to interested participants, then pick directors by early July.

Please also know that Last Act is a small group with a very modest budget, so these are currently non-paying positions. However, they will do their best to schedule 1 or 2 artist benefit nights during the run of each production.
