The Austin Symphony, with the help of the Austin Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, invites the LGBT community to a first-of-its-kind series, "Symphony in G".

During the November 30th performance of Chicago Symphony's Beyond the Score®featuring Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, the Austin Symphony will host a fabulous reception before and after the concert with food, open bar, entertainment, and special guests. Hosted in an exclusive backstage dressing room at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, "Symphony in G" is a can't-miss event for the LGBT community to enjoy live classical music.

The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a pre-concert reception. Guided tours of the backstage area will be available as well as the pre-concert talks at 7:10pm with Bob Buckalew. Maestro Peter Bay will make an appearance as well as some musicians. After the performance you can skip the madness of traffic by returning to your dressing room and enjoying some champagne, dessert, and coffee.
