(4/24/2015) - ATLANTA - (April 23, 2015) - ArtsBridge Foundation, the producer of the 2015 Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards, tonight announced the winners of the 2015 awards during a ceremony at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Award highlights include:  Overall Production - West Forsyth High School for Nice Work If You Can Get It; Direction - Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School's William Patti for Godspell; Leading Actor - West Forsyth High School's Nick Eibler for his role as Jimmy Winter in Nice Work If You Can Get It; and Leading Actress - Milton High School's McKenzie Kurtz for her role as Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins. Additionally, three scholarships and one grant were awarded.

(4/23/2015) - Kylie Myers, a 12-year-old aspiring actress form Georgia, was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, on April 9, 2014. Since then, Broadway stars, companies, and thousands of people around the world quickly adopted her. And even though she had to miss her walk-on Broadway role, Kylie still made her Broadway debut this week on a billboard in Times Square.

(4/23/2015) - ArtsBridge Foundation, the arts education outreach arm of the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, presents the 2015 Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards. Twenty four (24) public and private schools from throughout the state were nominated in 17 categories. The awards, which showcase the next generation of Georgia's musical theater talent, will be presented live at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre tonight, April 23 in an Awards Show hosted by WSB-TV's Fred Blankenship and Wendy Corona.

Aurora Theatre Director of Education, Jaclyn Hofmann, has put together an incredible team of teaching professionals, most of whom you will recognize from professional theatrical productions around Atlanta or from the screen anywhere from Georgia Lottery commercials to HBO. This summer, Aurora Theatre Academy will prepare students of all skill levels to perform like professionals.  Located on the square in downtown Lawrenceville, all classes will culminate in a showcase in Aurora's exquisite facility. Aurora will also offer students both financial need and talent-based scholarship opportunities.

(4/16/2015) - Items to be auctioned have been donated from Steve Whitmire's private collection of Jim Henson-related memorabilia gathered throughout more than 37 years as a core performer in nearly every Muppet project produced for numerous television series, theatrical motion pictures, television specials and albums. All "Whitmire's Wonders" auction proceeds go toward the funding of the new Museum to house the Jim Henson Collection at the Center for Puppetry Arts.
