The Alchemy Sky Foundation announced its first fundraiser in Atlanta on Veterans Day to support music therapy for Georgia Veterans. Tickets are available on www.eventbrite.com by searching "Alchemy Sky" or at bit.ly/1RznwLo. The fundraiser will be held at Smith's Olde Bar on Nov. 11, 2016 starting at 7 pm. Tickets are $15 and corporate sponsorships start at $100.

All proceeds from the event will go to support ASF's group music therapy program in partnership with the VA. ASF funds and facilitates regular, on-site, music therapy sessions for Veterans who live at the Community Living Center located on the campus of the Atlanta VA Medical Center. ASF hires a board certified music therapist (MT-BC) to lead each session. Each session averages 14 Veterans and lasts for approximately 60 minutes. Veterans play percussion instruments, tell stories, sing and interact with fellow residents and staff. For an overview please watch Rockin' For Our Vets here: youtu.be/qOiLt08c6rk.

"We are excited to celebrate the service of our Veterans and the power of music with a fantastic concert in downtown Atlanta.," said Jaye Budd, Executive Director of the Alchemy Sky Foundation.

The Alchemy Sky Foundation brings the healing power of music to those who need it. ASF partners with organizations in the community as well as a broad network of music and health professionals to create needs-based programs for its clients. The Alchemy Sky Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. For more information, visit www.alchemysky.org to find out more ways to help our cause.
