Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant, and recently honored with the most Suzi Bass Awards for a musical in Atlanta (Miss Saigon), is pleased to present GREASE, by Jim Jacobs & WarRen Casey. The show is directed by Brian Clowdus with music direction by Chris Brent Davis and choreography by Bubba Carr. The show opens on March 23rd and runs through April 16th, only. Performance times are Wednesdays through Sundays at 8pm. Featuring a spectacular cast filled with Atlanta's brightest talent, GREASE is the story of star crossed teenage lovers, Danny and Sandy. You'll find it hard to resist breaking the rules with Rydell High's spirited class of gum-chewing, hub-cap-stealing, hot-rod-loving boys in leather jackets and their wise-cracking girls in poodle skirts. Step back in time in a unique setting that will evoke memories of a drive-in movie, complete with VIP vintage car seating. But don't be lured in to the nostalgia of yesteryear, the energy coming from Rydell High can't be contained by any stage!

"Grease is perhaps the most iconic movie musical of all time and we are embracing that by staging our production in a completely immersive drive in movie experience," says director Brian Clowdus. "Audience members will drive into an open field following our vintage marquee to the drive in while passing the soda shop to arrive at our larger than life drive in screen where the action of the play will pop in and out of the movie. Audience members will even have the chance to sit in a front row vintage cars for the ultimate VIP experience! Featuring an all-star Atlanta and National cast of actors, this feel good American show will enjoy a nice rejuvenation with sexy and fresh staging and choreography culminating in the most rebellious production of Grease ever to be experienced!"

The creative team also includes assistant direction from Ryan Oliveti, scenic design by Lee Maples, costume design by Brandon McWilliams, lighting & video design by Bradley Bergeron, sound design by Adam Howarth and Rob Brooksher.

This iconic piece needs and iconic cast - and, that is just what has been assembled! Playhouse favorite Randi Garza (Evita) returns as Sandy with Atlanta staple Michael Stiggers as Danny. Right at their sides is the fabulous Julissa Sabino as Rizzo with Jeremiah Parker Hobbs (HAIR) as Kenickie.

Atlanta's own FOX 5 newsman Paul Milliken will take to the stage as radio DJ Vince Fontaine. And, ON SELECT NIGHTS, The Bert Show's Brian Moote will take on the iconic Teen Angel!

The iconic Pink Ladies will be brought to life by Shelli Delgado (Miss Saigon) as Frenchy, Shannon McCarren (Carousel) as Marty, and India Tyree as Jan. The gang around Danny & Kenickie includes Leo Thomasian as Doody, Erik Poger Abrahamsen (Charlotte's Web) as Roger, and Terrence Smith (The Secret Garden) as Sonny. Filling out good old Rydell High will be Jacob McKee as Eugene, Brooke Bradley (The Snow Queen) as Patty, Abigail Grace Gabor as Cha Cha, and Brian Jordan (Carousel) as Johnny. The always amazing LaLa Cochran (Oklahoma!) will return as the sassy Miss Lynch. Rounding out the ensemble is Bretteney Beverly, Monty Davis, Hao Feng, JD Myers, and Austin Lee Windolph.

Ticket prices range from $30 to $35 - senior, student, and group discounts are available. Performances are Wednesday-Sunday at 8pm. The performance run time is estimated at approximately 2 Hours, 30 Minutes, with one intermission.
