Anthony Rodriguez returns for a sixth year with his compelling solo performance of the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol.  Similar to the way Charles Dickens performed his stories by the fireside in Victorian England, Mr. Rodriguez focuses on the classic art of storytelling. Using his voice and mannerisms, Rodriguez brings life to Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley and the astonishing ghosts found in the greatest Christmas story of all time.

The one-man Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol returns for a limited 3-week engagement November 29 – December 16, 2012. Nestled in the intimate Gwinnett Federal Credit Union Studio, the 90-seat theatre is transformed into Mr. Dickens’ parlor. Although a few special theatrical effects have been added, this rendition captures the true spirit of Christmas— the joy of giving. The story is adapted for the stage and directed by Tony Brown.

Aurora Theatre will offer school groups the opportunity to enjoy this holiday classic. Schools may either visit Aurora Theatre or book a special touring version.

Aurora Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director Anthony Rodriguez on his sixth year of performance, “Although the task is never an easy one, preparing for this show is now a part of my holiday tradition. I love seeing the faces of those who, like Scrooge, come to the revelation—the greatest gift each Christmas is the joy of giving.”

Programming in Aurora Theatre’s Gwinnett Federal Credit Union Studio is possible through generous support from Georgia Gwinnett College and the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund.
