One of Atlanta's most recognizable radio voices, Lois Reitzes, will join the Dad's Garage stage as part of the show "Story Spot" on Friday, May 5. "Story Spot" features local personalities who are each invited to share personal stories with the audience. A group of improvisers then creates a scene inspired by each story on the spot. The performers do not know what each story will be before the show, and the scenes they create are comedic, and often absurd, takes on the original inspiration. "Story Spot" features Atlanta-area writers and storytellers, along with special guests from around the country.

"Story Spot" with Lois Reitzes is produced in collaboration with WABE, 90.1 FM-Atlanta's Choice for NPR. In each half of the show, Lois will read a story to the audience about her life and career on the Atlanta airwaves. Also joining the show will be the producers behind "City Lights"-Myke Johns, Erin Wright, and Gabbie Watts-who will share stories about Lois. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn more about an Atlanta icon. After the show, audience members can have their picture taken with Lois.

The distinctive voice of Lois Reitzes has been heard on WABE since 1979. She began her career hosting classical music for Atlanta NPR listeners, and since 2015 has hosted the arts and culture show "City Lights," which can be heard weekday mornings at 11 a.m.and Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. on WABE - 90.1 FM.
