Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in Duruflé's Requiem May 16 and 18, 2013, at 8:00 p.m., in Atlanta Symphony Hall at Woodruff Arts Center.

This work has not been performed by the ASO Chorus since the mid-1980s under renowned Choral Director and former ASO Music Director Robert Shaw. The Requiem will feature longtime friend of the Orchestra, mezzo-soprano Kelley O'Connor, and baritone Edward Parks, who will make his ASO debut.

The French-themed program will also include Debussy's La damoiselle élue, a rarely performed work from the composer's early years, and Messiean's Les offrandes oubilées. Soprano Kiera Duffy will make her ASO debut as the soloist for La damoiselle élue.
