Aurora Theatre's popular Funny Fridays (club comedy) and Swing Nights (big band concerts) come together for one huge finale when Vegas-sized entertainment comes to Lawrenceville with LawrenceVegas. This two-night event pays homage to the Rat Pack Era with a show that will include a headliner comedian and 2 amazing vocalists, all performed with a 17-piece big band.

Your host and comedian for LawrenceVegas will be Atlanta favorite Big Kenney. From Amsterdam to Indiana, from London to Hattiesburg, from Comic View to Comedy Central, Big Kenney has captured the hearts and funny bones of audiences worldwide. Big Kenney's unique and zesty reality-based humor and storytelling is universal in appeal and has proven to be a real crowd-pleaser. Big Kenney is a primary player in Atlanta's Blacktop Improv Group; his quick wit and funny characters make him the perfect host for LawrenceVegas.

The LawrenceVegas band will be The Metro Jazz Club, a smokin'-hot 17 piece band dedicated to the preservation of some of the best music ever composed. From the smoothest jazz and spirited rhythms of swing, to the powerhouse brass/rock of the 70's and 80's, they love sharing that classic horn sound. The Metro Jazz Club will be accompanied by the sultry chanteuse Maxine Cummins and the incomparable Russell Rhodes (Aurora's Christmas Canteen). Mr. Rhodes has performed on Broadway in 42nd Street and the national touring company of 42nd Street and Sugar Babies.

Just like the Sands Hotel in the 1960's, the intimate grandeur of the Aurora Main Stage theatre will enthrall audiences. LawrenceVegas is the entertainment event of the summer in Gwinnett. With only two performances on June 25 & 26 at 8:00pm, tickets are limited and reservations are highly recommended.
