Last night Atlanta's Tony Award® winning ALLIANCE THEATRE launched TICKETS FOR TEACHERS - a unique program that provides all educators with free tickets to select performances of ALLIANCE THEATRE productions. TICKETS FOR TEACHERS is one more Alliance initiative designed to support the role of arts in education.

Dr. Joseph (Jody) C. Barrow, Jr., Superintendent of the Fayette County Public School system and the recent recipient of Georgia's Superintendent of the Year distinction, said about the program, "The TICKETS FOR TEACHERS program is a phenomenal opportunity for educators to connect and engage with world-class theater. Through their participation in TICKETS FOR TEACHERS our staff can absorb the finest quality productions and then bring that joy for the arts back to their classrooms and individual students."

The ALLIANCE THEATRE's Education Department is truly comprehensive with deep connections to the education community through programs like the Alliance Arts for Learning Institute, which delivers professional learning for educators and arts integrated classroom instruction for students. Other programs include Theatre for the Very Young - professional performances designed for newborns through 5 year olds; acting classes, camps, and workshops; Alliance@Work for business professionals; and professional productions appropriately timed for school field trips.
