Did you know that one out of every 280 children in the US will be diagnosed with cancer before they reach the age of 20? And less than 4% of the National Cancer Institute's Budget goes to childhood cancer research.

On February 25th, 2017 at 6:00PM, the Acting Troupe of Lambert is sponsoring our annual "Smiley for Kylie Cabaret" in the Lambert High School auditorium (805 Nichols Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024), to raise money for childhood cancer research. We created our event three years ago to honor Kylie Myers, beloved sister of two of our ATL members, who lost her battle with cancer at the age of 12.

Kylie Myers had a radiance that was easy to see all of her life. She showed it constantly with her warm and beautiful smile. She loved being on stage and had an enormous presence that belied her small frame. It is easy to see why she was always called "Smiley Kylie".

Kylie was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma on April 9th, 2014 at the age of 12. After a 10-month battle that included harsh chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Kylie passed away on Feb 13th, 2015. Before she passed away, Kylie said, "I think cancer should die, not the kids." We want to help make Kylie's wish come true.

To honor that wish, Kylie's family has created Smiley for Kylie, a non-profit organization that exists for the purpose of funding research that will lead to safer and more effective cures for childhood cancer. To learn more, visit www.smileyforkylie.org.

Our Cabaret focuses on Kylie's love of the arts to bring our community together and raise money for a great cause. There will be a silent auction with amazing prizes, as well as items to purchase. Many individuals and groups will also be performing to make this event unique and entertaining for all! Have you ever wanted to see Ariel from The Little Mermaid movie perform live?

Proceeds from this Cabaret will go to fighting childhood cancer. We encourage you to visit all of the links to get a feel for the magnitude of this event. It is more than just a benefit - we are trying to change lives, just like Kylie. Donations may be made directly to www.smileyforkylie.org. Your gift will assist us in making Kylie's dream of finding a cure come true. Tickets will be sold at the door and also online. Visit smileyforkylie.org/product/smiley-for-kylie-cabaret-ticket.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and look forward to seeing you at the Smiley for Kylie Cabaret, February 25th, 2017 at 6:00PM in the Lambert High School auditorium!
