Murder at the Depot Gallery! (A fundraiser for the Hapeville 2014 Arts Initiative)

The City of Hapeville, the Hapeville Arts Alliance, the Academy Theatre, and the Hapeville Historical Society are partnering to implement the Hapeville 2014 Arts Initiative. This effort will bring a number of pop-up art galleries, art walks, a Saturday Farm & Art Market, and children's theater to our downtown. We will make Hapeville THE arts destination in metro Atlanta. But we need your help! This interactive murder mystery show will be a fundraiser to help fund the arts initiative and set up the pop-up art galleries that will be constructed from former shipping containers and placed throughout Downtown Hapeville. The City has committed to help with this effort, but we need to also show community support.

This fundraiser will be a night of intrigue and entertainment as the Academy Theatre & Laughing Matters present 'Murder at the Depot' an interactive Murder Mystery! You solve the crime and may even play a part in the show!

As part of the cost of your ticket, Paris-trained Chef Eileen Randman from Cafe at the Corner will provide a wide assortment of amazing food, AND you'll get a sneak peak at the renovated Hapeville Depot! Don't miss the event of the season!

Ticket are $50 per person. To purchase tickets online - Please go to: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/697412

A Staged Reading of 'The Would-Be King of Castalon' by David L. Fisher

You're invited to spend Sunday afternoon with us for a FREE staged reading of a very clever dark comedy by Atlanta playwright, David L. Fisher. "The Would-Be King of Castalon" is an exciting new full-length play that introduces us to Stan Nash, an accomplished and well-trained actor, who is, by nature, a shy and timid man until his participation in an experimental drug trial changes him in unexpected ways. Here's your opportunity to become one of Atlanta's theatre insiders and actually contribute to the process of developing a new play.

All are welcome but since the show contains adult themes and language it may not be appropriate for some. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

FREE SHOW - Piccadilly Puppets presents

H2-Oh! Splish, Splash: Water Stories, which explores our most precious resource in a fun and educational way! Large hand-puppets are used in the Australian folktale of "Tiddalick the Frog" and the Creek legend "Rabbit Plays Tug-of-War," which demonstrate that water is important to all cultures. The original shadow puppet piece, "The Adventures of Drip and Drop," shows the water-cycle from the point of view of the raindrops. As the closing song says, "Everybody needs a little water!" Academy favorites Nancy Riggs & Kiera Robbins bring great puppetry and stories for kids to the Hapeville Performing Arts Center with their world premiere show!

The sponsorship of 'H2-Oh! Splish, Splash: Water Stories' by the Hapeville Association of Tourism and Trade allows us to offer this performance free of charge to the community! Even though the performance is free, we would still appreciate your ticket reservations online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com.
