truTV's GUINESS WORLD RECORDS GONE WILD Delivers Over 1.3 Million Viewers

truTV's brand new series GUINESS WORLD RECORDS GONE WILD launched last night with 1,380,000 viewers in Live + Same Day delivery, including 838,000 adults 18-49. The show grew its 8 p.m. timeslot by +80% compared to the same night last year. Among key demos, it scored triple-digit growth over the same night last week, as well as compared to the prior four weeks. That includes a +133% jump vs. last year and a +127% boost over the prior four weeks among adults 18-49.

Hosted by television personality Dan Cortese (Veronica's Closet, Surviving Suburbia, MTV Sports), truTV's Guinness World Records Gone Wild features daring and fearless record hopefuls as they attempt to secure their place in history by breaking some truly outrageous world records. The series airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

For years, Guinness World Records have delighted, astonished and amazed readers with its book of incredible achievements. Now in Guinness World Records Gone Wild, the curtain is drawn back to reveal what really goes on when the most unbelievable, jaw-dropping records are attempted. Among the records the show is setting out to break are the Most panes of glass run through in one minute, Fastest time to jump over three oncoming cars, Highest dive into 12 inches of water, Most kicks to the head in one minute, Most live cockroaches held in the mouth and Most arrows caught while blindfolded, to name a few. Each attempt is evaluated by Guinness World Records officials, who have the final say over whether a record is broken.

In addition to host Dan Cortese, Guinness World Records Gone Wild features Stuart Claxton, the show's primary Guinness World Records adjudicator. Liz Smith, also of Guinness World Records, and actor/musician Zach Selwyn (Greek, Battleship) provide commentary on the action.
