Zoe Saldana and Channing Tatum will topline 20th Century Fox's upcoming animated film BOOK OF LIFE.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film, produced by Guillermo del Toro, has enlisted a slew of celebs to lend their voices, including Diego Luna, Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, Kate del Castillo, Ron Perlman, Cheech Marin, and more.

BOOK OF LIFE "is described as the journey of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart. Before choosing which path to follow, he embarks on an incredible adventure that spans three fantastical worlds, where he must face his greatest fears.

The reports also notes that the animators are working on "a unique visual style and the studios are promising a fresh take on popular pop songs."

Jorge Gutierrez will direct the film, and also co-wrote the script with Doug Langdale.

BOOK OF LIFE is set to hit theaters on Oct. 17, 2014.

Saldana will next be seen in the crime drama Out of the Furnace opposite Christian Bale. The actress' breakthrough role came in the 2000 film Center Stage and the 2002 film Crossroads. She later gained prominence for her roles as Anamaria in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Uhura in the 2009 film Star Trek, and a starring role as Neytiri in James Cameron's Avatar.
