Previews began earlier this week on Wednesday, October 21 at 8pm for the Young Vic's critically-acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, directed by Ivo van Hove, at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street).

The production opens on Thursday, November 12 and will play an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, February 21, 2016.

The Young Vic production of A View from the Bridge premiered in April 2014 to ecstatic reviews, instantly sold out its initial engagement, and subsequently transferred to London's West End where it recently concluded another completely sold-out run. This production, which marks the Broadway debut of critically-acclaimed director Ivo van Hove, is being presented during playwright Arthur Miller's Centenary.

In honor of the production making the move to Broadway, BWW brings you a look back at highlights and onstage shots below!

The cast of A View from the Bridge on Broadway -- Arthur Miller's dark and passionate classic drama set on the Brooklyn waterfront -- is headed by Mark Strong (as Eddie), Nicola Walker (as Eddie's wife Beatrice), Phoebe Fox (as his niece Catherine), Russell Tovey (as Rodolpho), Michael Zegen (as Marco), Michael Gould (as Alfieri), Richard Hansell (as Louis), and Tom Hammond (as Officer). The production has scenic and lighting design by longtime van Hove collaborator Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D'Huys, and sound design by Tom Gibbons

In London, A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE swept the 2015 Olivier Awards -- winning for Best Revival, Best Director, and Best Actor (Mark Strong). The production was also a pick with the critics, with Charles Spencer of the Daily Telegraph writing: "This staging of A View from the Bridge (1956) is one of the most powerful productions of a Miller play I have ever seen. It breaks the surly bonds of naturalism and the conventions of the well-made play to create a work of seething intensity and savage beauty that grips the audience throughout its interval-free two-hour playing time. By the end you feel both emotionally drained and unexpectedly elated - the classic hallmarks of a great tragic production."
