The Windham Theatre Guild will honor and remember those who sacrificed as rescuers on 9/11 by presenting a stage reading of The Guys, a masterfully written, powerful play centered around the heroes of 9/11, the firefighters of New York City. Based on a true story, the play is an inspiring tribute to the real people who lost their lives on September 11th in the line of duty as well as a depiction of how everyone has something to contribute in the aftermath of such a tragedy. You will laugh and you will cry as you journey through an afternoon with Joan, the writer and Nick, the fire captain who lost most of his men on 9/11, as they work together to remember the lives lost while experiencing the spirit of the city and the bonds of common humanity. Jim Hetrick directs Bill Emerson and Christy Donahue in this stunning performance that you will not want to miss.

Performances will be at 7:30 P.M. on Saturday, September 6 at the Burton Leavitt Theatre on Main Street and Thursday, September 11 at the First Congregational Church on Valley St. Refreshments and discussion will follow the reading at both locations, giving the audience a chance to interact with the cast and director.

Tickets are $8.00 ($5.00 for firemen) at the door or available by calling the Windham Theatre Guild at 860-423-2245.
