Westchester Broadway Theatre presents Guys and Dolls, featuring Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser and Book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. WBT's production will be directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford, with musical director Jihwan Kim. The show will run April 11 - June 9, 2013.

Guys and Dolls, subtitled "A Musical Fable of Broadway" is set in the colorful world of New York City in the mid 20th century. It is considered one of the greatest musicals of all time. Guys and Dolls is populated with gangsters and gamblers, missionary dolls and beautiful showgirls, and has one of the greatest musical scores in the history of American theatre. Including Frank Loesser hits; "Luck Be A Lady", "Guys and Dolls", "If I Were A Bell", and "Sit Down Your Rockin' The Boat".

New York, the city that never sleeps. And within it, all human life. From the news seller to the chorus girl, from the gambler to the missionary- all of them caught up in the teeming vitality of the city streets. Some of the characters Damon Runyon's story include Sergeant Sarah Brown (Margaret Loesser Robinson), of the Save a Soul Mission, vainly trying to spread the word, and make a difference to the sin and depravity of the streets, full of tipsters, gamblers, and con men. Adelaide, the showgirl, desperate to leave behind her seemingly glamorous lifestyle for a white picket fence and roses round the door. Nathan Detroit (Michael Brian Dunn), trying to find yet another new location for his floating dice game, keeping just one short step ahead of the law. And the gamblers themselves, eager for just one more roll, for that winning streak that will keep them ahead of the game. And the coolest high roller of them all, Sky Masterson (Sean MacLaughlin), who would beat on anything that would turn him a profit.

Guys and Dolls was directed by the renowned George S. Kaufman, it opened at the 46th street Theatre in New York City on November 24th, 1950, and ran for 1,200 performances. The show was instantly considered a classic masterpiece and subtitled "A Musical Fable Broadway." Guys and Dolls has seen numerous revivals on Broadway including shows, in 1965, 1977, 1992, and 2009. The show has won 10 Tony Awards in its history; including Best Musical and Best Director.

The Cast features Sean MacLaughlin as Sky Masterson, Margaret Loesser Robinson as Sarah Brown, Michael Brian Dunn as Nathan Detroit, Jayson Elliott as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Sheldon Henry as Benny Southstreet, Laura Cable as General Cartwright, Jeff Brooks as Big Jule, Johnathan Stahl as Rusty Charlie and Jody Cole Wood as Lt. Brannigan.

The Multi-talented ensemble includes Amy Brewer, Matthew Dailey, Ryan Koss, Lisa Rohinsky, Johnathan Stahl, and Jody Cole Wood.

The productions is Directed and Choreographed by WBT favorite, Richard Stafford, who has been at the helm for several WBT productions including Fiddler On The Roof, Can-Can, George M!, Hairspray, Beauty & the Beast, Gypsy, and Singin' in the Rain. Associate Director and Choreographer is Jonathan Stahl. The Musical Director is Jihwan Kim, Set Design is by John Farrell, Lighting Design is by Andrew Gmoser, Sound Design is by Jonathan Hatton, Costume Designer is Derek Lockwood, and the Production Stage Manager is Victor Lukas, Properties are by Grumpy Props. As with all our productions, Lisa Tiso, is the Associate Producer.
