The Midtown Men and Paula Poundstone will open the Weinberg Center for the Arts' 38th season of live entertainment on September 23 and 24, respectively.

Featuring four stars from the original Broadway cast of "Jersey Boys," The Midtown Men combine authentic choreography and costumes with nostalgic favorites from The Beatles, The Four Seasons, and more.

Heralded by The Boston Globe for her "distinctive brand of wry, intelligent and witty comedy," and beloved as a panelist on NPR's "Wait, Wait ... Don't Tell Me," Paula Poundstone offers a unique perspective on the ironies of daily life.

Both performances will begin at 8:00pm on their respective dates. Tickets for The Midtown Men begin at $35 and tickets for Paula Poundstone begin at $30. Tickets for both productions may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the Box Office at 301.600.2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick St. Discounts are available for students, children, military, and seniors.

Comprised of Tony Award winners Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer, The Midtown Men have the distinct honor of being the first-ever vocal group to be formed by the principal cast of a high-profile Broadway show. Not only have they won over audiences of all ages in nearly 2,000 live shows, but their self-titled debut album, "The Midtown Men: Sixties Hits" was met with critical acclaim, garnering five star album reviews across iTunes. The group has appeared on "Good Morning America," "Katie," "The Chew," and "Access Hollywood Live."

Emmy Award-winning comedian Paula Poundstone is a regular panelist on NPR's #1 show, "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me." She tours regularly, performing standup comedy across the country. In June 2016, her first double-live CD, "North by Northwest: Paula Poundstone Live!" debuted at #1 on both Amazon's "Hot New Releases - Non Fiction" and "Comedy CD" lists. An accomplished writer, her second hardcover book will debut in May 2017. An avid reader, she is the national spokesperson for United for Libraries. She has the honor of being the first woman to win the cable ACE Award for Best Standup Comedy Special and the first woman to perform standup at the White House Correspondents dinner. Poundstone has been recognized as one of Comedy Central's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time, and won an American Comedy Award for Best Female Standup Comic.
