Warner Bros. International Television Production has signed a new three year deal to acquire the international distribution rights to upcoming television formats from Ireland's Vision Independent Productions (VIP).

WBITVP has renewed their existing deal with VIP to have an exclusive first right to sell the format rights to VIP's newly commissioned product for a further three years. The original deal dates back to 2011.

Formats from VIP which have been locally adapted internationally through commissions secured by WBITVP include: The Hit, Operation Transformation and The Secret Chef.

WBITVP continues to establish or acquire operating production companies in major territories around the world with the mandate to create locally produced versions of programs owned by the Studio and to develop original local programming on a market by market basis. Local versions of VIP's programs will be developed by companies owned by Warner Bros in selected countries and licensed to broadcasters and independent producers to create local versions in countries where WBITVP does not yet operate.

"VIP is one of the leading independent production companies in the English speaking world. Their track record of producing hit formats that travel is phenomenal, they like us, we like them, it's perfect- we are delighted to continue representing them for next three years", said Andrew Zein, Senior Vice President, Creative, Format Development and Sales, WBITVP.

"Our first deal with WBITVP brought about one of the most creative periods in our company history. We received a level of support that goes way beyond just financial. Doors open, conversations happen that we never had before and ideas are given a real chance to develop. We are delighted to renew and continue our relationship with Andrew Zein and his team" commented Philip Kampff, MD, VIP.
