BROADWAYSTED--the popular and hilarious podcast that combines theatre and alcohol--will be celebrating their 50th Episode LIVE as a part of NycPodfest 2017 at The Bell House (149 7th Street, Brooklyn) on Sunday, April 9 at 1:00 pm. Joining the Broadwaysted Crew in their first live show will be Broadway and TV star Krysta Rodriguez.

Broadwaysted, where hosts Bryan Plofsky, Kevin Jaeger, and Kimberly Cooper are "drunk on theatre" with stars of the stage and screen, brings happy hour chat from the Theatre District in NYC directly to listeners everywhere. Abandoning the typical "interview" format, the Broadwaysted Crew and their guest drink and enjoy conversation about shows they've recently seen and play hilarious games created by "Game Master" Kimberly. Past guests on Broadwaysted (deemed #FriendsOfTheShow) include Two-Time Tony Winner Michael Cerveris, Tony Winner James Monroe Iglehart, Jeremy Jordan, Laura Osnes, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Patti Murin, Max Crumm, Matt Doyle, Lacretta, Paige Davis, Hannah Elless, and Lesli Margherita.

Celebrating the very best in podcasting since 2013, NYC PodFest provides podcast fans with a rare opportunity to set down their ear buds and watch a variety of their favorite podcasting personalities record live on the NYC Podfest stages. The Live Recording, which also features Smithsonian's podcast sidedoor and Death Wish Coffee Company's Fueled by Death Cast, promises to give the audience the opportunity to "drink and play along" with the Broadwaysted Crew as they amp up the typical format of their show to incorporate a live audience. "I have a few tricks up my sleeve for the Live show with Krysta Rodriguez," Kimberly said with a smile. "I mean, there's so many great things from her career to inspire games." Rodriguez, who will next be starring in NBC's Trial & Error, previously appeared in NBC's Smash and has been seen on Broadway in The Addams Family, First Date, Spring Awakening, and In the Heights.

While cohost Kevin Jaeger says they're keeping the details of the games and "surprises" for the Live 50th Episode a secret, one thing he promises to be featured are the Lights of Broadway Show Cards. "We're officially Light Catchers, so we can't do an episode without them." He quickly added, "and prizes--there will definitely be prizes!"

Broadwaysted host and Resident Pun Master Bryan Plofsky said the crew is so excited about the chance to actually sit down and drink with fans of the show "--because really, that's what Broadwaysted is all about: feeling like you're sitting down with us as we kick back, drink, and celebrate the brilliance that is live theatre...and tequila."

The Bell House is located at 149 7th Street in Brooklyn. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. This event is for ages 18+ For tickets, see www.nycpodfest.com
