Wagner College Theatre Stage One kicks off the 2016-17 Season with the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-Winning play, Proof by David Auburn, with performances October 4 through 9.
Proof is a remarkable and engaging play about fathers and daughters, genius and insanity, legacy and truth. Everyone has parents and everyone aspires to be like them in some way. But what happens when there's a distinct possibility that we may inherit their talent...and their madness. Auburn's play is at turns a comedy, a mystery, a family drama and a romance, and audiences have cheered the production around the world for its craft and intelligence.

Proof is directed by WCT Head of Voice Professor David McDonald, who directed last season's Stage One double bill of Dutchman and 21 Jump Street.
The cast of Proof features Nina Gabi Gross (Catherine), Lola Silver (Claire), WCT Professor Mickey Tennenbaum (Robert), and John Thacker (Hal). On Wednesday, October 5 and Saturday, October 8 the swing cast featuring April Lillard (Catherine), Jasmine Canziani (Claire), Kolten Bell (Robert), and Nicholas Barakos (Hal) will perform.
Wagner's production features scenic design by Casey Schweiger, costume design by Andy Dillon, lighting design by Austin Gennant, and sound design by Wendy Kraemer. James Collins is the production stage manager. Doo-Young Yoon is the dramaturge.
