"The Wendy Williams Show" marks October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by making over women who have been or are going through treatment for breast cancer, to make them feel beautiful again.

These strong women will be treated throughout the month to the latest fashion and beauty looks. From new wigs to new outfits to new shoes, they will be transformed from head to toe, enabling them to move forward in their lives with newfound confidence.

Williams says of the initiative, "We're going to give these women, who have really been through the wringer with their medical treatments, a whole new look!" Adding, "We want them to feel strong and positive about their lives. We're going to help with that extra bit of confidence for when they need to go back to work, attend a wedding or even just reconnect with their partner."

Two women will be made over each week throughout October, with each receiving a new wig or hairpiece from Wendy Williams Hair World, which will be styled by Wendy and her personal 'wigologist'. Style expert Lilliana Vazquez will also work with the women to dress them in today's hottest fashions. Each participant will be able to keep her new hair and ensemble after strutting her fabulous self on the "Wendy" runway.

To coincide with this month-long, on-air celebration, both "The Wendy Williams Show" and Wendy Williams Hair World will be announcing donations to the American Cancer Society when the makeovers commence on Tuesday, October 1. In previous years, "The Wendy Williams Show" has contributed to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by collecting donor hair on-air for the American Cancer Society to turn into wigs.
