Just in time for election season, Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center presents Theatreworks USA production of We the People, a musical revue for ages 9-14 that brings American Civics lessons to life, on Friday, November 14 at 10 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by contacting Cheryl Wheeler at 631-288-2350, ext 102.

American Government textbooks come to life via the original boy band - "The Founding Fathers" - in this hip, new musical revue that sets civics lessons to a rockin' beat. Students will learn about the three branches of government, the First Amendment, presidential elections, democracy, the judicial process, diplomacy, and more.

Barreling through a variety of musical styles relevant to today's youth, including rock, rhythm-and-blues, and hip-hop, We the People will instill American pride in audiences of all ages, and perhaps even inspire them to get involved and make a difference.

We the People is part of the Center's highly-acclaimed School Day Performances Program, designed to help educators use our stage as an extension of their classrooms. All School Day Performances are carefully curated to reflect the changing educational landscape, with special attention paid to the core curriculum. "We the People" was selected to be part of this year's season because of its strong connection to grade 4 & 5 American Government units, providing Educators with another way to bring the core curriculum to life for their students!

Run time: 60 Minutes + Q & A. To purchase tickets, call Cheryl Wheeler at 631-288-2350, ext 102, or visit 76 Main Street, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978 (Wednesday - Sunday, Noon to 6pm and later on show nights).
