Manila, Philippines, July 5, 2013--"The Bluebird of Happiness," theater company Trumpets' ("The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," "The Little Mermaid") take on Belgian playwright Maurice Maeterlinck's 1908 play "The Blue Bird," featuring book and lyrics by Jaime del Mundo ("The Little Mermaid," "N.O.A.H.") and music by Rony Fortich ("N.O.A.H." "Stages of Love"), has just released the new musical's first video teaser.

The teaser, produced by Joaquin Valdes ("Red," "Into the Woods") and Gino Montalvo, reveals the gist of the play, which tells the story of two poor children and their search for the true "bluebird of happiness."

Trumpets promises spectacle, memorable songs, contagious choreography, colorful sets and costumes, and a strong moral conclusion, which make a wholesome family entertainment.

Besides del Mundo and Fortich, musical arranger Mon Faustino, set and costume designer Mio Infante ("You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown," "Legally Blonde"), lighting designer John Batalla ("Jekyll and Hyde," "The Graduate"), vocal director Sweet Plantado-Tiongson ("You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown") and choreographer Nancy Crowe are on board.

Trumpets' "The Bluebird of Happiness" runs at Meralco Theatre from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, October 20.
