Fresh from their success with Readymade Cabaret and Ferry Play, the podplay on the Staten Island Ferry, playwright Jessie Bear and director Erin B. Mee are at it again with their latest immersive theater exploration: This is Not a Theatre Company's Versailles 2015.

Set against a backdrop of global crisis at a house party in an actual New York City apartment, the characters of Versailles 2015 focus on the minutiae of their daily lives in a play which questions the responsibilities and obligations of the true ruling class. With scenes that include a bathtub dance by Jonathan Matthews, the results are both familiar and wonderfully disconcerting.

Versailles 2015 is helmed by the dynamic female duo of director Erin B. Mee and playwright Jessie Bear. Mee and Bear's collaboration on A Serious Banquet was heralded by Show Business Weekly as a "profound immersive theatrical experience where performance and life intertwine effortlessly," and The New York Times called Ferry Play a "spirited, meditative audio performance," while the Wall Street Journal said, "...as the ferry moves across New York Harbor, the vistas on that world change, giving the play a sense of vastness that contrasts with the intimacy of in-your-ear drama."

In Versailles 2015, Obie award-winning playwright Charles L. Mee (bobrauschenbergamerica, Hotel Cassiopeia, Big Love) joins Jessie Bear again for the first time since their 2014 collaboration in Pool Play, deemed "An enjoyable immersive theatrical meditation on the role of 'the pool' in our everyday lives and the complexity of the human experience" by Theatre is Easy.

Versailles 2015 house party guests include actors Colin Waitt (The Mysteries at The Flea), Caitlin Goldie (Readymade Cabaret, A Serious Banquet), Christopher Morriss, Morgan Patton, Caiti Lattimer, Hannah Goldman, and, hopefully you.

RSVP now and purchase your ticket for entrance to the most exclusive house party in NYC this fall for just $25. Performances are: Fridays on October 9, 16, 30, and November 6, 13, and 20 at 7:00 and 9:00pm: https://www.artful.ly/store/events/7150
