Victoria Theatre Association (VTA) presents the popular lunchtime arts preview series Mid-Day Arts Café on Tuesday, October 11th in the Mathile Theatre of the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. The October Mid-Day Arts Café features a performance by Sinclair Community College's Music, Theatre & Dance Department students. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketcenterstage.com or by calling 937-228-3630 or 888-228-3630.

Each Mid-Day Arts Café begins with a delicious lunch box provided by Citilites at the Schuster Center at 11:30 a.m., with the presentation starting promptly at noon. October's Mid-Day Arts Café highlights the 2016-2017 productions presented by Sinclair Community College's Music, Theatre & Dance Department. Students from Sinclair Community College, under the direction of Gina Neurer - Chair of the Music, Theatre & Dance Department - will host a program with selections from their 2016-2017 Monstrously Magical season. This includes excerpts from shows such as: Dracula, A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Song for Coretta, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and The Toxic Avenger. "Dracula," (Leo Santucci) will serve as the host of the event. A short Q&A session will follow the program.

"Our Monstrously Magical theme, from the horror of Dracula at Halloween, through the darkness of A Midsummer Night's Dream and ending with the hilarity of The Toxic Avenger, eclectic monsters will dot the main stage in Blair Hall." Gina Neurer, chair of Sinclair Community College's Music, Theatre & Dance Department, says, "Add to that the magical and inspirational messages from A Charlie Brown Christmas and A Song For Coretta and you have a season with something for everyone."

VTA's Mid-Day Arts Café presentation is under the direction of Gina Neurer, Sinclair Community College's Music, Theatre & Dance Department Chair, and Sinclair students: Bryana Bentley, Elisha Chamberlin, Elisa Fuentes, Marley Judd, JoNathan Kelly, Erin McGee, Skyler McNeely, Gabriella Neurer, Chelsea Overman, Thomas Puckett, Tristan Rivera, Leo Santucci, and Erin Waldon.

Lunch options for Mid-Day Arts Café patrons are provided by Citilites at the Schuster Center include: turkey on ciabatta; curry chicken salad on croissant; Mediterranean trio (gluten-free/vegan); kale chicken Caesar salad; and kale Caesar salad.

Tickets are $15 each or $12 for current VTA Season Ticket Holders and includes a complete box lunch provided by Citilites at the Schuster Center, plus discounted parking in The Arts Garage, located on the corner of Second St. and Ludlow. Mid-Day Arts Café is a series presented by Victoria Theatre Association offering a variety of performances from locAl Dayton arts groups. In cooperation with the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera and Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra), Muse Machine, DCDC, Stivers Dance Ensemble, Sinclair Community College, Central State University and the University of Dayton. Mid-Day Arts Café offers the chance to network with area arts lovers, view sneak peeks of upcoming performances, and get out of the office for an enjoyable lunch time!
