VSC to Close Season with BREATH & IMAGINATION, 3/31-4/19

Virginia Stage Company (VSC) will present its final show of the season, running March 31st through April 19th. Breath & Imagination, directed by Saundra McClain is the true and inspirational story of the life and struggles of Roland Hayes, the first African American classical vocalist of world renown. VSC's production will feature Travis Pratt, who appeared on season 8 of America's Got Talent, in the role of Hayes, and marks the first time a true tenor has portrayed this role. The show features operatic, classical and spiritual music.

VSC will celebrate opening night with a pre-show choral performance including community members, choirs, and professional singers from the area. It will be offered in partnership with Young Audiences of Virginia and feature the CNU Men's Chorus.

Breath & Imagination will run March 31st through April 19th 2015. Preview Performances run: Tuesday, March 31st at 7:00pm and Wednesday and Thursday, April 1st and 2nd at 8:00pm. Tickets for Preview Performances are $25. Opening Night is Friday, April 3rd at 8:00pm. Regular performances will run Tuesdays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8:00pm. Matinee performances will be offered on Saturday afternoons at 4:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm.
