VIDEO: The Bots Unveil '5:17' Music Video

As The Bots prepare to play a free show in their hometown of LA this evening, HypeTrak and Hypebeast exclusively premiere the band's official music video for "5:17". Directed by Giovanni Reda and starring Christopher Masterson, the video takes viewers through a trippy Los Angeles day in which Masterson cannot seem to escape The Bots at every turn. Culminating in a live show by The Bots, the frenetic energy of the video matches that of the single. Giovanni Reda is best known for his ground-breaking skate photography for outlets such as Thrasher and Transworld, and most recently, his weekly web series "Wednesday with Reda" on The Berrics. 2013 saw The Bots garnering attention from critics and fellow musicians alike. New York Times Magazine predicts "they are on the cusp of stardom" and Transworld loves their "rare youthful energy, untempered confidence, face-melting jams". The band has been handpicked to join tours by everyone from Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Social Distortion to Refused and Bad Brains. Damon Albarn even called them his "current favourite band."
