Taylor Swift breaks away from her tried and true 'good girl' image in her newest music video featuring SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK's Reeve Carney. Check out Swift's venture into grunge territory in "I Knew You Were Trouble," below!

The video aired as part of MTV's salute to Swift's 23rd birthday.

"As soon as I started writing this song, I knew it was different from anything else on the record, so I knew that I wanted the video to be different from anything we'd ever done," said Taylor Swift. "I wanted to tell the story of a girl who falls into a world that's too fast for her, and suffers the consequences."

Shot over two days in and around Los Angeles, in the video Swift plays the character of a girl being completely drawn in by her attraction to a guy (portrayed by Reeve Carney, currently playing Peter Parker in the Broadway production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) with a beautiful smile and big personality. But he has a dark side, and Taylor's character loses herself with the guy and in the relationship, becoming part of his dark world. She eventually sees that she's lost herself and has learned her lesson.

"I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten to work with Anthony Mandler and to have Reeve Carney as my co-star in the video, and I can't wait for everybody to see it," Swift added.
