Rosie Perez returned to her post as co-host of ABC's THE VIEW yesterday, after taking a brief hiatus to rehearse for her role in Larry David's new Broadway play, Fish In the Dark, which began previews last night. The actress talks about the show's first preview and more in the clip below!

During her time away from the show, rumors and reports began to emerge that she would not be returning to the show, despite assurances from ABC that she would be back as planned on Feb. 3.

After receiving a standing ovation on today's live show, the actress shared that she was thrilled with the way the play's first preview went. "Girl, I am feeling fabulous," she gushed, adding "I am very happy to be back and let me just say, 'Mi gente, gracias'"

She went on to discuss the day's hot topics including Pitbull, Bobbi Kristina, Bill Belichick and Fifty Shades of Grey.

Perez joined THE VIEW after Barbara Walters left last summer, along with new co-hosts Rosie O'Donnell and Nicolle Wallace. Before Fish In the Dark, Perez appeared on Broadway in THE RITZ, RECKLESS, THE PLAY WHAT I WROTE and FRANKIE AND JOHNNY IN THE CLAIR DE LUNE.

She will next appear on the big screen in FIVE NIGHTS IN MAINE and recently starred in the films FUGLY!, THE BEING EXPERIENCE, GODS BEHAVING BADLY and THE COUNSELOR. Perez has also appeared on TV in THE CLEVELAND SHOW, LIPSTICK JUNGLE and more.
