Neil Patrick Harris took to Instagram over the weekend to share a photo of some Halloween costume fun. The actor, (soon to return to Broadway in 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch'), along with his fiancé David Burtka and their 3-year-old twins, Gideon and Harper, were all decked out as characters from Disney's beloved film "Alice in Wonderland." The TODAY show shared the fun below!

While NPH and Burtka took on the roles of Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Gideon was the White Rabbit and Harper dressed as the star herself, Alice.

According to Harris, Burtka came up with the group effort, and has another Halloween surprise planned to celebrate the holiday. The adorable ensembles were worn for a carnival at the kids' preschool, but Burtka promises that the actual night of October 31st "will be frighteningly different."

In 2011, the family dresssed as the crew from Disney's Peter Pan while last year they took a trip down the yellow brick road in some swanky "Wizard of Oz" costumes.
