On last night's NIGHTLY SHOW, Hamilton star Christopher Jackson joined Ricky Velez and Franchesca Ramsey for a panel discussing the controversy surrounding Beyonce's politically charged visual album "Lemonade."

Commented Jackson, "As long as you call yourself an artist and as long as you put things out in the world to be artistic and to say something, you better follow the passion, and follow the inspiration that you have, otherwise, you're not an artist." Watch the appearance below!

Jackson portrays George Washington in the smash hip-hop musical Hamilton. His other Broadway credits include Holler If Ya Hear Me, Bronx Bombers, After Midnight, In the Heights, Memphis,The Lion King. Off-Broadway credits include Hamilton, Bronx Bombers, The Jammer, Lonely I'm Not and In the Heights.

Film/TV: Tracers, Afterlife, "Freestyle Love Supreme," "White Collar," "Oz," "Person of Interest," "Gossip Girl." He is also an Emmy-winning composer for "Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company." His solo album In the Name of Love is now on iTunes.
