When Broadway's Gavin Creel calls Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick and Joe Masteroff's SHE LOVES ME "Possibly one of the greatest musicals ever written," it's not just because he's one of the stars of Roundabout's 50th Anniversary season revival, where he gets to play a dashing cad with one of musical theatre's snazziest exit songs.

Many share that opinion of the jewel box musical about two lonely hearts who, through anonymous letters, fall in love with the person they despise the most. Premiering in 1963 and previously revived by Roundabout in 1993, SHE LOVES ME may be Broadway's most underappreciated masterpiece. Despite critical raves, the original production only eked out an eight month run. Many blame the musical's exquisitely gentle charm for not drawing crowds looking for a big night out.

But certainly, the Roundabout's new production has enough starry names to grab the public's attention. Laura Benanti and Zachary Levi lead the way as the star-crossed lovers and, along with Creel, they're joined by Michael McGrath, Jane Krakowski and Byron Jennings.

The cast also includes Nicholas Barasch, Peter Bartlett, Cameron Adams, Alison Cimmet, Justin Bowen, Preston Truman Boyd, Benjamin Eakeley, Sara Edwards, Michael Fatica, Gina Ferrall, Jenifer Foote, Andrew Kober,Laura Shoop, Jim Walton.

The production is directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction by Paul Gemignani.
