Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at a local bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Saturday night, July 18th.

The Boss jumped on to the stage at Jersey's Wonder Bar around 10:30 pm to the great surprise of both patrons and the owner of the establishment, and treated the crowd to such classics as "Darkness on the Edge of Town," "Because The Night," and "The Promised Land." Check out video!

Springsteen is widely known for his lyrics which depict the Americanaworking class, as well as his marathon, energetic stage performances, sometimes running over three hours.

Among his most successful albums are Born in the U.S.A. Born to Run has sold more than 64 million albums in the United States and more than 120 million records worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. He has earned 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award as well as being inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fameand the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
