Back by popular demand, 54 Below presents renowned international chanteuse and star of Broadway's Chicago Ute Lemper for a return engagement. The journey starts in Berlin with Ute's repertoire of Brecht and Weill and classic cabaret songs and travels to the poetic universe of Jacques Brel & Edith Piaf. Then, join Ute's voyage as she continues to Argentina and Tango Nuevo and walks the backstreets of Paris, Berlin, Buenos Aires and New York, where she's made her home for fifteen years now. BROADWAY LOVES THE Spice Girls, January 13 at 11:30PM:
The TRL Generation brings its wildly successful 'Broadway Loves the Spice Girls' concert uptown to 54 Below on Monday, January 13th. The 11:30PM 'Girl Power'-filled song and dance extravaganza is directed by Kyle Fox, with music direction by Benjamin Rauhala and produced by Shoshana Feinstein. In their brief, but wildly successful career, the Spice Girls sold a staggering 88 million albums worldwide, becoming the best-selling female group of all time, and the most successful British group since the Beatles. "Baby," "Scary," "Ginger," "Posh," and "Sporty" became household names. "Broadway Loves the Spice Girls" features exciting new vocal arrangements of their biggest hits, including "Wannabe," "Spice Up Your Life," "Stop," "2 Become 1," as well as classic numbers from the cult-hit film "Spice World," highlights from the girls' solo careers, and more. Cady Huffman (Tony Award-winning star of The Producers (original Ulla), The Nance, Will Rogers Follies) debuts her new one-woman show about life, love and what she ate along the way. From her grandmother's burnt toast, tomato sandwiches to Iron Chef Michael Symon's lamb heart tartar, Cady Huffman has eaten it all, loved it all and gone back for seconds. In addition to starring on Broadway, Cady is a regular food judge on Food Network's Iron Chef America! Following a triumphant 2013 run, Sam Harris returns to 54 Below for four shows only, this time celebrating the release of his brand new book, HAM: Slices of a Life (Gallery Books/Simon & Schuster). This show of the same title is what Sam calls a "liter-usical": a hybrid theatrical show featuring excerpts from the book, artfully interspersed with songs from his classic repertoirE. Harris is a multi-million selling recording artist and has starred on Broadway, on television and in concert for nearly three decades. His powerhouse voice and rare talent for redefining the vast American Songbook defines him as one of this generation's most distinguished performers. THE Williamstown Theatre Festival CABARET, January 15 & 16 at 9:30PM & January 17 & 18 at 11PM:
For 60 years, the Tony Award-winning Williamstown Theatre Festival has been Broadway's summer home, where renowned stars of stage and screen work alongside America's next generation of up and comers. This January, for the first time ever, the Festival's legendary, irrepressible Late-Night Cabaret brings some Berkshire summer to the Big Apple.
