Urban Stages, the acclaimed Off-Broadway theatre, is presenting Jessie and the Case of The Missing Candy by Laura Konsin, directed by Rachel Sullivan and performed by Liz Parker.

The show has been touring libraries and schools during the Halloween season for two years. This is a chance to see this delightful show in Urban Stages' Theatre (259 West 30th Street), for one performance only on Sunday, November 2nd at 1:30PM.

Jessie's Halloween is almost ruined when she comes down with a cold and cannot trick or treat in her prized detective costume. While in bed she learns of an even bigger problem: all the Halloween candy had suddenly disappeared. She becomes a real detective to solve this important Halloween case in a song and dance filled adventure. Along the way she meets a scarecrow, a vampire, and a goblin. With these puppet friends Jessie is able to use her cunning detective skills to fine the candy and rescue Halloween.

Konsin, Sullivan and Parker all have extensive experience working with young people and creating shows for family audiences. Laura Konsin Shortt is on staff at the Children's Museum of Manhattan. Liz Parker and Rachel Sullivan have collaborated on numerous productions, including Urban Stages' Blown Away by Poetry which has performed throughout NYC, including BAM.

Urban Stages is located at 259 West 30th Street (between Seventh and Eighth Avenues).
