Universal has pushed its upcoming film adaptation of WORLD OF WARCRAFT from Dec. 2015 to March 2016, according to Deadline.

The studio has announced a new crop of release dates for its upcoming titles, slotting THE MUMMY reboot for April 22, 2016, Michael Mann's SEVENTH SON for Jan. 16, 2015, THE BOY NEXT DOOR with Jennifer Lopeze for Jan. 23, 2015, and its planned "Jeff Bridges-Julianne Moore fantasy" for Feb. 6, 2015.

THE MUMMY is officially described as: A legend that has endured since the dawn of man is reborn in THE MUMMY, Universal Pictures' all-new epic action-adventure. THE MUMMY is conceived with dramatic intensity by an imaginative creative team including director Andy Muschietti (Mama) and producers Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek and Transformers series) and Sean Daniel (The Mummy trilogy). Jon Spaihts (Prometheus) wrote the screenplay, and Bobby Cohen and Barbara Muschietti will executive produce.

In the original film, American adventurer Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) teams up with an archaeologist (Rachel Weisz) and her bumbling brother (John Hannah) to stop an evil mummy they accidentally brought back to life. Imhotep, once an Egyptian high priest, was buried alive after murdering Pharaoh Seti I and trying to run off with his wife. Now Imhotep is resurrected and determined to exact his revenge and reclaim his love - at any cost.

WARCRAFT is officially described as: Legendary Pictures' WARCRAFT, a 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment's globally-renowned universe, will be directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and is written by Charles Leavitt and rewritten by Duncan Jones. The producers are Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Alex Gartner. Stuart Fenegan, Jillian Share and Brent O'Connor will serve as executive producers. Blizzard's Chris Metzen will co-produce.
